John's Appreciation Wall

I want to share something very special I received from one of John's co-workers at the Waldorf Astoria. They do many things to honor him and keep his spirit alive in the hotel and this one just touches my heart. Please read the email below and look at the picture. And cry. I did. A lot.

Hi Autumn,
I just wanted to send you a picture of something we've strated at the Waldor
f in memory of John. It's called John's Appreciation Wall, and it came from your advice about writing notes to each other and showing your appreciation.
The entire front office are now writing little thank you
notes to each other and putting them up on the board, and we have your letter, along with one from John's parents up there too.

It shows how much we want to keep John's spirit alive
here, and how we will remember him every day. He used to thank everyone on his shift everyday.

Remember we are al
l here if you ever need anything, keep in touch as we all think about you.

Here is a picture of the wall. On the left is my letter I left for the staff next to a letter from John's parents.

John has left behind a wonderful legacy..so touching! The more I read about him, the more blessed and fortunate I feel to have known him and call him my friend!
